Sing a song: We had a lovely day!
T: Yesterday, I made a powerpoint, but I didn’t finish it. Can you help me to finish it together?
Ask some students to type the past tense of the words one by one.
(see---saw; eat---ate; go---went; buy---bought; climb---climbed)
Step2. Lead in:

T: You did a good job. Let’s play a game, hangman. OK?
T: Sunday is a holiday.
Write down the sentence. Guess the meaning.
Ask some students to say some other holidays.
Step3. Presentation:
T: Is today a holiday? Was yesterday a holiday? Was last Sunday a holiday? Where did you go last Sunday

Ask some students to answer the same questions.

Write down the sentence on the blackboard.
