Last lesson we learnt a form of poem, Limerick. It has some rules. For example: It has five lines. It was created by an American poet. Each line has a set number of words and so on. You must say it in five.

Step 1. Warming up: Ch

Step2. Come to “THINK ABOUT IT”.
We all know Chinese poetry has different kinds of patterns. Let the students give some examples. Then ask them if they know the five-line poems.

4. Let’s look at another two poems as examples. 我們再拿兩首詩為例。
another+數詞+名詞=數詞+more+名詞,意為“再來……”。another two poems也可表示為two more poems.
5. In one word, state the topic of your poem. 用一個詞說明詩歌的主題。
1)in one/a word此處意為“用一個詞”,其也可用作固定短語,意為“總之,一句話”。
In a word, I trust him. 總之,我信任他。
2)表達“用”,英語用不同的介詞。in表示“用語言”,with表示“用工具、手段等”,by表示“用方式等”。
Write the letter in English. 用英語寫這封信。
